She has an inspired committment to UU coming out of her background as a Methodist minister. Having her with us is an exciting step in shaping our future. This week's events-- -- Eclectic Readers discuss The Road from Coorain, 7:00 pm today, Thursday, Sept. 20 at Mary Nordhagen's, 630 Dearborn, 529-0857. She will be home after work around 5:00. -- UUFM will be sponsoring a Spring Bulb Sale to benefit Josh Davis' Mahankhal Chautari School project in Nepal on the sidewalk in front of JRPC on Saturday 9-22 from 8:30-12:00. Plant bulbs this fall for beautiful spring flowers. -- Participants in our UUFM Youth Religious Education program will present the service on September 23 focusing on U.N. International Day of Peace and will include a 4-P's party: Pencils, Pennies, Pizza, and Peace. We are asking you to bring your young people, some new pencils, as many pennies as you can find (see penniesforpeace.org), and plan to stay for Pizza. -- I am taking a scalloped potato and turkey sausage casserole to the Clements tomorrow night. Can someone else make a dinner too, maybe for the weekend or next week? If it can be frozen, that is fine too. Their home is at 2235 E. Summit Dr., phone is 251-4467.
