From: "Bonna Graham-Hall" To: ; "Second newsletter list" ; Subject: Weekly update, May 8 Date: Friday, May 09, 2008 12:45 AM Hi Everyone; ~~For the service this Sunday, May 11, which is planned around the theme of Mother Earth, human mothers, and care givers of all genres, we will have short readings as part of the presentation. If you want to find a quote or short poem or prose that you like, you are invited to bring your own selection to read. If you don't have a particular favorite, there will be enough for everyone who wishes to participate. ~~*Note a* *change* from the usual lunch potluck schedule: Since this is the second weekend of the month, we would usually have our potluck lunch this Sunday after the service, however, we will wait and have it next Sunday, May 18, after the Annual Meeting. If you like a theme to inspire you, let's do Mexican, or international, if you prefer. ~~Maria Giarizzo, who helped with our youth RE for 3 years, is graduating from UM this weekend. We are sending her a card and a gift to wish her bon voyage on her journey. She has applied for an internship working with youth in New York City. ~~Next weekend is Wanda's weekend with us: Vision Workshop Saturday, the Annual Meeting Sunday followed by a lunch potluck. See the note above for theme suggestion. ~~If you would like to meet with Wanda next weekend, she is available to talk individually with anyone who requests to do so. Contact her at wkayd@earthlink.net or 406-697-8369. ~~Next Saturday, May 17, from 10 - 12, Wanda will lead a discussion about vision, identity, and connections of 'Life in the Fellowship.' Please come and share your ideas about what makes you feel connected, what you would like to see added/discarded/changed, what the Fellowship means to you. Do you have an idea that you have wanted to mention? Share it! How far have we come? Where do we want to see ourselves next year? in 2 years? in 5 years? Bring a brown bag lunch; dessert and drinks provided. ~~During the clean sweep clean-up last weekend, we accomplished a lot. You can actually walk in the garage without tripping over hoses and boards. The old refrigerator is gone from the back porch, thanks to Mac and Josh. We gave away lots of stuff that was taking up space and which we hadn't used in years, and Mac removed one of the built-in benches in the coffee nook. The outside of the church has even been washed. Take a look! We will have tours of the garage as requested. Hope to see you at the services and the Annual Meeting. Take care, Bonna
