From: "Bonna Graham-Hall" To: ; "Second newsletter list" Subject: Weekly update August 30 Date: Thursday, August 30, 2007 6:05 PM Hi Everyone -- Summer is over, it's sad to say. Now let's hope the fires and smoke will be gone soon. --*This Sunday*, *instead of a morning service*, we will have our annual Labor Day Weekend potluck picnic at 2:00 pm at Greenough Park, on the lower east side along Rattlesnake Creek. Park in the lower east side parking lot, the first one on Monroe St., about 3 blocks up from the underpass. Cross the creek on the foot bridge and look to the left for the picnic tables. Bring sandwich fixings, salads, or desserts to share for lunch. There will be herbal and regular ice tea, ice, plates, utensils, napkins and cups provided. If it is too smoky, we can have it at the Fellowship instead. -- Our Ingathering, the first fall service, will be Sunday, September 9, a week and a half from now. As you probably remember, those who wish to participate, pour water representing a place they have been this summer into a shared bowl, as part of our reconnecting with one another. If possible, bring a water sample from an actual place you have been. If you don't have any, there will be Missoula aquifer water available. -- Rev. Wanda Daniel will be with us the weekend of Sept. 15-16 and will lead her first service for us that Sunday. She will be here the third weekend of each month. -- The September women's lunch will be Monday, September 10, a week later than usual due to Labor Day. Meet at noon at the China Buffet. -- Josh is postponing his September Nepali dinner till after the middle of September. -- Remember, there is no service this Sunday. We are having the picnic instead. Take care, do good work, and keep the faith, Bonna
